Information day for H2020 challenges ICT21 and ICT22.b was held in the conference room of the European Commission building (Jean Monnet) in Luxembourg on February 6-th 2014.
Among the participants was also our researcher Matus Pleva, who gave a presentation of project plans within the call ICT22b.
In the morning the members of the European Commission presented challenges in Gaming technology, Multimodal and Natural Computer Interaction Assisting people with disabilities and the main principles of project proposal writing were presented.
Afternoon networking session was held in smaller room for the call ICT22b, dedicated to development and human computer interface assisting people with disabilities (or elderly). After the presentations personal meetings were held, and contacts made to Kajaani University of Applied Sciences, which is developing a smart digital glasses for elderly people with dementia. And also with Brunel University representative has been some discussion held about the possibilities of emotions recognition application in the human machine interface.
During all sessions a parallel Poster Session was held, where the leaflets about our research activities were presented and enjoyed a great interest. Within the poster session some SME representatives discussion was held: sciRobot (the use of emotion in human interface – a robot), Nurogames (Android Iphone Applications development) and Kouvola Innovation Ltd.
