The 56th International Symposium ELMAR – 2014 took place on 10th -12th of September in Zadar (Croatia). ELMAR is one of the oldest European conferences focused on science topics from multimedia communications, navigation and speech, audio, image and video processing. Also three KEMT employees and PhD. students were not missing among conference participants and presented their contributions „A Novel Approach for Image Steganalysis“ (Ing. Gabriel Bugár, PhD.) and „Robust Spread Spectrum Watermarking System in Video“ (Ing. Vladimír Bánoci, PhD.) in section “Image and Video Processing”, „Comparison of Feature Selection Algorithms for Acoustic Event Detection System“ (Ing. Eva Kiktová, PhD.), „Hyphothesis Combination for Slovak Dictation Speech Recognition“ (Ing. Martin Lojka, PhD.), „Recent Advances in the Statistical Modeling of the Slovak Language“ (Ing. Ján Staš, PhD.) and „Design of Phonetically Balanced SUS Test for Evaluation of Slovak TTS Systems“ (Ing. Martin Sulír) in section „Speech and Audio Processing“, „A Survey on the Spectrum Trading in Dynamic Spectrum Access Networks“ (Ing. Ján Pastirčák) in section „New Trends in Spectrum Engineering“ and „Edwards curve addition and doubling formula analysis for effective parallel decomposition“ (Ing. Patrik Gallo, PhD.) in section „Telecommunications“. From the conference a proceeding was released whose contrubutions are indexed in Scopus database.
